SAF production growth slows ahead of e-SAF mandates: IATA

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production to reach 1.9 Mt in 2025, doubling 2024 levels, but growth will slow to 2.4 Mt in 2026. SAF will account for under 1% of jet fuel, with high premiums adding $3.6 billion in costs amid limited policy support.
