Oman's Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (PWP) has signed new power purchase agreements with three independent power producers - Phoenix, Al Batinah and Al Suwadi Power - for gas-fired power projects with a combined capacity of 3,500MW in the sultanate.
A consortium led by top European utility EDF Power Solutions has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Oman's Nama Power and Water Procurement for the development of the 120MW Jaalan Bani Bu Ali (JBB) wind power plant in the sultanate.
Nama Power and Water Procurement signed power purchase agreements with a Nebras-led consortium and a KOWEPO-led consortium for the development of combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power generation projects in Misfah and Duqm respectively, with a total investment value of approximately RO 1 billion ($2.6 billion).
