Tourists to Japan hit a record 42.7 million in 2025, exceeding 40 million for the first time, Japan’s Tourism Minister Yasushi Kaneko said. Total spending by inbound tourists also reached a record high of 9.5 trillion yen ($60 billion) over the year.
