Bahrain's Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has signed an agreement to extend the power purchase agreement (PPA) with Al Ezzel Power Company, one of Bahrain’s independent power producers, for its key 950MW power plant in the Hidd region.
Bahrain's Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) awarded contracts worth BD67.4 million ($177 million) in August, led by major works linked to new high-voltage grid substations in Sitra, said a report. This comes as part of its strategy to boost the kingdom's electricity network and upgrade key facilities.
