The Board of Members of the World Steel Association (worldsteel) has re-elected Eng Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO of Emsteel, as Chair of the Association’s Audit Committee for the 2026-2027 term.
Emsteel, one of the largest publicly traded steel and building materials manufacturers in the region, has won the Safety Culture and Leadership Award 2025 by the World Steel Association (worldsteel) in recognition of its group-wide best-in-class health and safety protocols.
The World Steel Association (worldsteel) forecasts GCC steel demand to fall by about 11% in 2026, a sharp reversal of the trajectory it published in April.
