US LNG exports averaged 17.4 Bcf/d in the first half of 2026, up 23 per cent year-on-year, marking the fastest growth since 2016. New terminal capacity is driving shipments, with exports forecast to reach 18.7 Bcf/d in 1H27, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
