The Iran war broadened over the weekend despite a pause in US strikes, as Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis attacked Saudi oil installations along the Red Sea coast and Iran accused Ukraine of targeting one of its vessels in the Caspian Sea resulting in the death of a sailor.
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the United Arab Emirates and Ukraine will officially enter into force on July 1, signifying a major advancement in the two nations’ economic ties. The agreement aims to create new opportunities for trade, investment and private sector collaboration, strengthening the UAE's relationship with a key European market and reinforcing its role as a global trade hub, said a statement.
Ukraine has agreed to co-operate on defence with the UAE and Qatar as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy travelled to both countries amid escalating tensions in the region. Zelenskiy is looking at signing 10-year partnership agreements with both the Gulf countries.
