Abu Dhabi-based Investcorp Capital has reported a sharp decline in its annual profit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026 which fell to $44 million from $81 million last year as higher financing costs and timing of private market exits weighed on earnings.
Bahrain-based investment bank SICO has reported a 48% jump in its second-quarter net profit attributable to shareholders, helped by higher net investment income and a recovery in market valuations. Its assets under management (AUM) soared to BD3.3 billion ($8.9 billion) in Q2.
Aggregate net profits reported by companies listed on GCC exchanges rose 15.5% year-on-year in the first quarter to a record quarterly high of $67.9 billion, up from $58.8 billion, said a report. This growth was mainly due to stronger earnings from energy companies, particularly Saudi Aramco.
