Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, showcased Dubai's competitive advantages as a global hub for the digital economy to 287 European startups and scaleups at its pavilion at GITEX AI Europe 2026 in Berlin.
Emirates confirmed it stands ready to launch daily services to Berlin and Stuttgart, committing more than €100 million ($116 million) each year in operational expenses, staff, airport charges, fuel and other expenditures, subject to the approval of the German Federal Ministry of Transport.
Berlin’s tourism sector declined in 2025, becoming Germany’s only major city to record a year-on-year drop. Visitor numbers fell 3.5%, with overnight stays down to 13.9 million in H1, and full-year totals expected just below 30 million.
