Equinor, Aker BP and Vår Energi are forming a strategic exploration partnership to target some of the largest remaining opportunities on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS), aiming to unlock major discoveries that could support new standalone field developments.
Viridien, a global technology and HPC leader, has entered into a strategic partnership with global exploration firm Aker BP to strengthen collaboration across multi-client ocean bottom node (OBN) seismic data acquisition, imaging, and technology development. The agreement establishes a five-year co-operation framework designed to align strategy with the goal of optimising exploration efforts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Archer has received formal notice from Aker BP of the exercise of the three-year extension option under the long-term contract originally awarded in November 2020 for the provision of platform drilling operations and maintenance services on the Ula and Valhall installations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
