Bureau Veritas, a leader in testing, inspection and certification, has been awarded a comprehensive inspection services contract by Adnoc for the Ta’ziz Chemicals Industrial Zone in Al Ruwais Industrial City, Al Dhafra region, Abu Dhabi.
Ta'ziz, a joint venture between Adnoc and ADQ, is set to produce 4.7 million tonnes
per annum (mtpa) of chemicals once construction is completed in 2028.
The site will produce
1.9 mtpa of marketable polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ethylene dichloride (EDC),
vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and caustic soda, making it one of the top three
largest integrated single-site complexes in the world, supporting the UAE’s industrial
development.
Ta’ziz will also have a 1 mtpa ammonia plant
and a 1.8 mtpa methanol plant.
This strategic
contract award positions Bureau Veritas as a key partner in supporting one of
the region's most ambitious industrial development projects.
Under the agreement,
Bureau Veritas will provide comprehensive on-site inspection services and
leverage its global source inspection capabilities across strategic
international locations, including Vietnam, China, Germany, South Korea, and
the US.
An advanced inspection and data management
tool has been specifically implemented for the project to ensure optimal
