Kuwait has cancelled oil sector tenders worth nearly $10 billion after contractors submitted bids far above the government’s approved budget, in a move highlighting rising project costs and tighter fiscal discipline in the Gulf energy sector.
Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) has announced that it has issued tenders for the design and manufacturing of 10 new passenger trains for its Northern Network. The project scope includes supply of the trains in addition to providing fleet maintenance services and long-term asset sustainability.
Saudi Arabia has issued preliminary design consultancy tenders for the Jeddah Metro project’s Blue Line network, said a report. A 35-km-long network, the Blue Line will run from King Abdulaziz International Airport to the Haramain High-Speed Railway station covering 15 stations.
