Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” LINE) has named its new 174,000-cubic-metre LNG carrier, Diamond Gas Jade, at Samsung Heavy Industries. The vessel, owned by a joint venture, will support the LNG Canada Project involving Mitsubishi Corporation.
Adnoc Logistics & Services (Adnoc L&S) has taken delivery of its sixth 175,000 m³ new-build LNG carrier from Jiangnan Shipyard in China. The vessel is part of a $1.2 billion LNG fleet order placed in 2022.
China has delivered its largest domestically built LNG carrier, Celsius Georgetown, advancing shipbuilding capacity. The vessel, bound for Singapore, measures 298.8 metres, holds 180,000 cubic metres, and features a dual-fuel, low-speed propulsion system.
