Egypt aims for 42 per cent clean electricity by 2030, focusing on solar, wind, and green hydrogen projects, alongside energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrades. Minister Manal Awad discussed these initiatives at the COP30 Leaders’ Roundtable on Energy Transition in Brazil.
Masdar, a clean energy leader, and Octopus Energy, an energy tech disruptor, have signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for initiatives in the UK and Africa. Masdar and Octopus will look to work together to free up hidden capacity across the UK’s distribution network to power the next generation of data centres.
BEEAH, a sustainability and innovation pioneer, and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company – Masdar, a global clean energy leader, have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to identify and develop utility-scale clean energy projects in Sharjah.
