Our progress reflects our continued focus on innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth, in line with Zain Group’s ‘4WARD – Progress with Purpose’ strategy.

“According to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s (TRA) recently released Q2 2026 market indicators report, total data traffic in Bahrain increased by 16% year-on-year, reflecting the growing demand for digital connectivity. In line with these market developments, we continued to invest in advanced network technologies and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) across our network, operations, and customer service functions to enhance efficiency and deliver smarter customer experiences. A key milestone was becoming the first operator in the region to successfully deploy AI-powered radio network technology within our live 5G network, further improving network performance and efficiency.”

Enterprise and wholesale capabilities

Zain Bahrain Chairman continued: “Building on our acquisition of Infonas, we have further strengthened our enterprise and wholesale capabilities, expanded our international reach, and enhanced our ability to serve corporate customers and global telecom operators. This strategic acquisition has contributed to the revenue growth while creating new opportunities for business expansion, revenue diversification, and long-term sustainable growth. We also continued to grow our Zain Business portfolio through new digital infrastructure projects, advanced IoT solutions, and strategic partnerships across key sectors. At the same time, our dedicated customer experience portfolio, OneCX, expanded its AI-powered solutions and partnerships, supporting organisations in delivering smarter, more efficient, and connected customer experiences.

“Our fintech subsidiary, Bede, continued to accelerate its growth and diversify its offerings beyond Sharia-compliant financing with the introduction of digital payment and wallet services. Further building on this momentum, Bede recently announced its World Multi-Currency Prepaid Mastercard, designed to offer customers greater convenience, flexibility, and control over their local and international transactions. These developments reinforce Bede’s ambition to build a comprehensive digital financial services ecosystem, strengthen its position in Bahrain’s evolving fintech landscape, and unlock new opportunities for sustainable growth.”

The Chairman concluded: “Looking ahead, we remain committed to supporting Bahrain’s digital transformation and building on our strategic progress towards becoming a comprehensive telecom and technology solutions provider. Through continued investment in advanced technologies, innovation, and our people, we aim to strengthen our competitive position, drive sustainable growth, and deliver long-term value to our shareholders, customers, and the Kingdom of Bahrain.”—TradeArabia News Service
