Saudia ranked second globally for on-time arrival performance in 2025, according to aviation analytics website Cirium, marking the airline’s second consecutive year in the global top two.
According to
Cirium's 2025 On-Time Performance Review, Saudia recorded an on-time arrival
rate of 86.53 per cent across more than 202,800 flights operated on its
network, which serves over 100 destinations in four continents,.
Saudia Group director-general Ibrahim Al-Omar said the achievement reflects the
collective efforts of teams responsible for planning, operations, and flight
management.
He stated that
operational efficiency represents a cornerstone of Saudia's strategic plan and
is closely linked to the overall guest experience, with time being a critical
element of every journey.
Al-Omar added
that one of Saudia’s operational excellence elements lies in the integration
and coordination among the Saudia Group’s various companies, as well as
cooperation with key partners across the Kingdom’s aviation sector.
Looking ahead,
Saudia is preparing for a major expansion, with 116 new aircraft scheduled to
join its fleet over the coming few years, increasing the total fleet from 149
aircraft currently.
The expansion
will support higher flight frequencies through increased flights and seating
capacity on existing routes, alongside the launch of new international
destinations.
The airline has
mobilised all necessary resources to accommodate future growth while
maintaining operational efficiency, supported by qualified national talent and
the advanced capabilities of its operations center, which manages flight
operations using the latest aviation technologies.
Saudia’s
operational excellence comes alongside its major role in bringing the world to
the Kingdom, transporting guests and connecting them to major events hosted
nationwide, including global conferences as well as tourism, entertainment, and
sporting events.
The airline
affirmed that punctual flight operations play a key role in enhancing the guest
experience, further enriched by innovative services and products offered both
on the ground and in the air. -TradeArabia News Service
