Saudi Arabia’s Cluster2 Airports Company reported strong operational performance in the second quarter of 2026, handling 3.98 million passengers across 36,600 flights while advancing airport development and sustainability initiatives.

During the quarter, the company launched two flynas operational centres at Abha International Airport and Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim, supporting airline growth and enhancing airport capabilities.

Five Cluster2 airports achieved Level 2 Accreditation under the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme, recognising progress in carbon management and environmental performance.

The accredited airports include King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan, Najran International Airport, Sharurah Airport, Wadi Al-Dawasir Airport and Al-Wajh Airport.

The company also signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Greening Program to plant 300,000 trees by 2030 across selected airport locations.

The initiative aims to reduce emissions and support Saudi Arabia’s Green Initiative and Vision 2030 sustainability objectives.

Cluster2 Airports Company said the achievements reflect its focus on improving operational efficiency, strengthening aviation services and advancing environmental responsibility across its network. -TradeArabia News Service
