Bahrain’s historic Old Manama Suq is set to receive a facelift as part of a broader government drive to revive the kingdom’s urban centres, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication, citing the kingdom’s tourism minister.
The first phase of the project will focus on redevelopment of the main entrance to the suq, at Al Musaqqaf, the pedestrian walkway leading to the Kanoo Museum, and the Bab Al Bahrain commercial complex. It is set for completion in Q4 2026, stated Tourism Minister Fatima Al Sairafi.
