Abu Dhabi is set to complete the first phase of the AED2.85 billion ($776 million) Mid-Island Parkway project - that will link Saadiyat Island with Umm Yifeenah Island - in 2027. The Phase I will boast an eight-lane dual carriageway as well as marine bridges, elevated flyovers and an underwater road tunnel.
