Egypt’s Petroleum Ministry announced production has begun at the Al-Wasl-4 development well in the North Safa field, Gulf of Suez, operated by GUPCO. The well produces about 2,250 barrels of oil and 1.3 million cubic feet of gas daily, lifting output to about 65,000 barrels.
Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum said oil and gas companies drilled multiple wells across the Western and Eastern Deserts and the Nile Delta, including five exploratory wells, expected to add about 47 million cubic feet of gas and 4,300 barrels per day to daily output.
McDermott International is set to secure multiple offshore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), with a combined value estimated at up to $1.5 billion. These awards are linked to ADNOC’s ongoing offshore oil and gas expansion programme and reinforce McDermott’s strong positioning in the Middle East offshore EPC market.
