Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that work has begun on the Hamad General Hospital, being developed at a total value of QR1.2 billion ($325 million), in co-operation with the Ministry of Public Health. The project is set for completion and handover in the third quarter of 2029.

Red Sea International Company has announced that its key subsidiary, Fundamental Installation for Electric Work Company, has secured a construction contract from Al Arab Hospital Company for the construction of a premium healthcare facility in Jeddah. The entire work on the 19-storey hospital will be completed within 420 days.
