Acwa, a leader in energy transition, has been awarded the King Khalid Sustainability Award, receiving special recognition for achieving the highest rating in the social criterion. This accolade followed a multi-month evaluation process, including a comprehensive audit of company data and sustainability reports from the previous year.
Saudi utility giant Acwa has announced that its consortium with Water Transmission Company (WTCO) has been signed up by Syrian government to conduct preliminary studies for seawater desalination projects with a combined capacity of 1.2 million cu m per day along with related water transmission infrastructure.
Topsoe has been selected as ammonia technology licensor for ACWA’s Yanbu Green Hydrogen project in Saudi Arabia. Its technology will convert green hydrogen into ammonia and includes engineering, proprietary equipment, and catalysts for FEED contractors Sinopec and Técnicas Reunidas.
