SAL Zones, Advanced Aircraft Technology sign MoU on logistics for aviation

SAL Zones, a subsidiary of SAL Logistics Services specialising in the development of integrated logistics zones across the Kingdom, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Advanced Aircraft Technology to explore opportunities for collaboration in developing specialised logistics infrastructure and solutions to support aviation and aerospace projects in the Kingdom.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Saudi Warehousing & Logistics Expo 2026 in Riyadh.

The MoU seeks to leverage SAL Zones’ capabilities, assets, and infrastructure alongside Advanced Aircraft Technology’s expertise and specialised operational requirements across the aviation and aerospace sectors, contributing to the development of tailored logistics solutions that meet the needs of the sector and support its growth and expansion in the Kingdom, the company said.

The areas of collaboration to be explored by both parties include the development of specialised facilities for the storage of aircraft spare parts, engines, equipment, and related materials, as well as purpose-built facilities and logistics solutions tailored to the operational requirements of Advanced Aircraft Technology’s projects.

The collaboration will also explore integrated services covering storage, transportation, distribution, cargo handling, customs-related services, and re-export operations. The MoU further includes exploring investment and leasing opportunities within the SAL Logistics Zone, including the potential development of an integrated logistics hub at the SAL Logistics Zone in Mulham to support the company’s aviation and aerospace projects.

The MoU builds on SAL Zones’ efforts to develop an integrated network of logistics zones and infrastructure capable of serving specialized and high-value sectors and supporting their supply chains. Through this collaboration, SAL Zones and Advanced Aircraft Technology aim to enhance the competitiveness of the Kingdom’s logistics sector while contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. – TradeArabia News Service
