Saudi Downtown Company, a unit of the country’s sovereign wealth fund PIF, has signed up Al Ajimi Contracting for the construction of a power substation at its premium mixed-use development - Al Khobar Downtown - coming up in the kingdom’s Eastern Province.

The Al Khobar Downtown Project is one of the flagship developments being delivered by Saudi Downtown to create vibrant urban destinations that enhance quality of life, stimulate economic growth, and support sustainable city development across the kingdom.

The master plan aims to transform a 538,000-sq-m site into a sustainable, pedestrian-friendly extension of the Al Khobar.

As per the deal, Al Ajimi Contracting will be responsible for the design and development of the power station as well as its associated electrical infrastructure, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
