Bahrain’s Minister of Tourism, Fatima Al Sairafi, reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to strengthening the Kingdom’s events sector as a key pillar of tourism growth and economic diversification.

Speaking at a meeting with local event management companies, she highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in delivering high-quality events that attract regional and international audiences and reinforce Bahrain’s position as a leading destination for major events.

Al Sairafi noted that the events sector plays a significant role in supporting related industries, including hospitality, retail, transport, logistics, and creative services.

The meeting reviewed strategies to further develop the sector by leveraging Bahrain’s advanced infrastructure, modern venues, and national expertise in event management, while improving coordination among stakeholders.

Discussions also focused on attracting new regional and international events in line with the Tourism Strategy 2022–2026.

Event industry representatives welcomed the ministry’s engagement and reaffirmed their support for initiatives aimed at enhancing Bahrain’s regional and global competitiveness in the events sector. -TradeArabia News Service
