Qatar to host 2026 T100 Triathlon World Championship Final in Lusail City

The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and Qatar have announced that the 2026 Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final will return to Lusail City for a second consecutive year, taking place from December 10–12 , 2026 in partnership with Visit Qatar.

The event will mark the season-ending finale of the T100 Triathlon World Tour, which begins on Australia’s Gold Coast in March and includes global stops such as Singapore, San Francisco and London before concluding in Qatar.

The series features the world’s top professional triathletes competing head-to-head across multiple international venues.

In Lusail City, athletes will compete over the T100 format, consisting of a 2km swim in the Arabian Gulf, an 80km cycling course through Lusail’s urban landscape, and an 18km run through Lusail Plaza and Boulevard.

The championship has become a key fixture in Qatar’s sporting calendar, attracting more than 5,000 amateur participants alongside elite professionals.

It also works with the Qatar Triathlon Federation to encourage wider community participation and promote healthy lifestyles among young people.

The 2026 edition will also feature the T100 Age Grouper World Championships, giving amateur athletes the chance to compete for world titles after qualifying through global events during the season.

Alongside elite races, the three-day festival will include open-category competitions, sprint triathlons, short-distance runs, and a fan village featuring entertainment, food experiences, and community activities, reinforcing Qatar’s position as a growing hub for international sporting events. -TradeArabia News Service
