Travel demand to the UAE is showing steady signs of recovery, with recent data indicating a shift in traveller behaviour towards flexibility, faster decisions, and shorter booking cycles.

Insights from UAEVisaTravel.com, an online UAE visa consultancy operated by Pinoy Tourism, suggest that initial uncertainty in late February and early March caused a temporary dip in travel enquiries.

However, this slowdown was brief, with demand stabilising by late March and continuing to improve through April as traveller confidence gradually returned.

Internal data indicates that overall travel demand has now recovered to around 30–50% of pre-disruption levels, with consistent week-on-week growth.

This gradual rebound reflects sustained confidence in the UAE as a destination, supported by stable infrastructure, operational airports, and a reliable visa processing system.

A key trend emerging from the recovery is the rise in multiple-entry visa applications, which have increased by approximately 25–30% compared to March.

This suggests that travellers are prioritising flexibility and seeking greater control over their itineraries.

In parallel, demand for travel insurance and express visa processing has grown by around 20–25%, indicating that travellers are placing higher value on protection and faster approvals.

Another significant change is the shortening of booking windows. The average period between visa application and travel has dropped from three to four weeks to just 7–14 days.

This shift highlights more agile planning behaviour, with travellers making quicker decisions while retaining the ability to adapt if circumstances change.

“What we are seeing is not a decline in interest, but a shift in behaviour,” said Imtiaz Hussain Nasir, CEO of UAEVisaTravel.com. “Travellers are still choosing the UAE, but they are planning differently—placing greater emphasis on flexibility and faster decision-making.”

Overall, the trend reflects a broader global pattern: rather than delaying travel, people are increasingly adjusting how they plan, favouring speed, flexibility, and risk-aware decision-making in response to ongoing uncertainty.

“The pace of recovery indicates strong underlying confidence in the UAE,” Hussain added. “Travellers today are more deliberate—they are making informed choices and seeking options that give them both certainty and flexibility.” -TradeArabia News Service
