The UAE State Security Department (SSD) has announced the dismantling of a terrorist organisation and the arrest of its members for involvement in covert activities aimed at undermining national unity and destabilising the country through plans to carry out systematic terrorist and sabotage operations on UAE soil.
The investigations into the incident aboard flydubai flight FZ1073 have revealed that the co-pilot had attempted to carry out a terrorist act, attacking the captain inside the flight deck using a crash axe and attempting to take control of the aircraft, reported UAE state new agency Wam, citing the country's Attorney-General.
