Bahrain is accelerating the redevelopment of Muharraq, rolling out infrastructure and public space upgrades as part of a wider strategy to revitalise one of the kingdom's most historic cities. The scope of work includes road development as well as upgrade of stormwater drainage and utility networks.
Dubai Municipality has invited bids from qualified and experienced contractors for a stormwater drainage upgrade project in Al Khawaneej area. The scope of work involves laying up of water pipelines with diameters of up to 1,600 mm.
DETech Contracting, a leading infrastructure and construction company based in UAE, said it has secured stormwater drainage contracts worth AED2.1 billion ($572 million) from Dubai Municipality under the Tasreef Programme. The scope of work includes adding 100 km of main drainage lines to the network.
