Dubai International (DXB) welcomed 31.5 million guests during the first six months of 2026, as airline capacity continued to return and demand strengthened through the second quarter following one of the most challenging operating environments in the airport's history.
Global demand for smaller commercial jets will remain robust over the next two decades as passenger traffic continues to grow, according to leading Brazilian planemaker Embraer, which has forecast 8,500 new aircraft deliveries worth about $650 billion by 2045.
Passenger traffic through Oman’s airports declined by 9.3% during the first five months of 2026, with total travellers reaching 5.25 million compared with 5.79 million during the same period in 2025, according to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
