Ladun secures $637m Riyadh infrastructure development contracts

Ladun Investment Company has secured SAR2.39 billion ($637 million) contracts to carry out infrastructure development work at Al Qirawan and Al Narjis districts as well as the Namar real estate development - in the Saudi capital. They will be executed in consortium with Al Ayuni Investment and Contracting.

Renewables account for nearly 38pc of OECD electricity output in February: IEA

OECD net electricity generation reached 920.8 TWh in February 2026, up 0.8 per cent year-on-year. Fossil fuels supplied 45.4 per cent of output despite declining 4.7 per cent, while renewables contributed 37.8 per cent and nuclear power accounted for 15.7 per cent of generation.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has announced that it has set a new world record for the lowest electricity customer minutes lost (CML), at just 0.82 minutes (about 49 seconds) per year. With this, the Dubai utility has surpassed its own previous world record of 0.94 minutes in 2024.
