Kia Europe and TotalEnergies have extended their partnership for five years through 2031, continuing a collaboration that began in 2011 to supply high-quality lubricants to Kia customers and dealers across Europe.
Under the renewed agreement, Kia will continue recommending
TotalEnergies lubricants to its European customers and dealer network,
supporting vehicle performance, after-sales service and customer satisfaction.
The extension was marked by a signing ceremony at Kia’s
European headquarters in Frankfurt, attended by Sjoerd Knipping, COO of Kia
Europe, and Jean Parizot, Director, OEM & Central Sales, Automotive
Business Unit at TotalEnergies Lubrifiants.
“Extending our partnership with TotalEnergies marks an
important step in reinforcing our European competitiveness and ensuring
customer satisfaction for long-term vehicle usage,” said Sjoerd Knipping, COO
of Kia Europe. “By working closely with TotalEnergies, we will continue to
elevate service quality, enhance ownership experience, secure vehicle
performance and deliver greater value and confidence to our customers across
Europe.”
The companies first established a global cooperation
agreement in 2011 and have renewed their partnership every five years. The
latest extension reflects their continued focus on providing technologically
advanced lubricants that support vehicle longevity, fuel efficiency and
compliance with European regulations.
TotalEnergies said the renewed agreement would combine Kia’s
vehicle technology expertise with its capabilities in high-performance
lubricants and automotive fluids to improve the ownership experience and
strengthen dealer services.
“Our renewed partnership with Kia is much more than a
continuation of 15 years of successful collaboration—it is a shared commitment
to shape the next chapter of mobility together. By combining Kia’s leadership
in advanced vehicle technologies with TotalEnergies’ expertise in
high-performance lubricants and fluids, we will empower Kia dealers, enhancing
the ownership experience and bringing premium, future-ready solutions to more
Kia customers across Europe,” said Jean Parizot, Director, OEM & Central
Sales, Automotive Business Unit at TotalEnergies Lubrifiants.
Focus on After-Sales Services and Sustainability
The partnership has supported joint projects and marketing
initiatives over the past 15 years, with programmes designed to help Kia’s
European dealers improve after-sales care, service quality and customer
satisfaction.
These initiatives will continue under the extended
agreement, providing dealers with tools and products to support vehicle
maintenance and performance.
Kia and TotalEnergies are also collaborating on a Recycled
Oil Project aimed at introducing circularity into lubricant use.
The initiative forms part of their broader cooperation to
explore more sustainable solutions for vehicle servicing.
The extension reinforces both companies’ commitment to
long-term cooperation, combining lubricant technology, dealer support and
sustainability initiatives to meet the evolving needs of Kia customers across
Europe. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
