SalamAir reports 76pc on-time performance in Q3 2026

SalamAir, Oman’s low-cost carrier, recorded an on-time performance (OTP) of 76% in the third quarter of 2026, as the airline maintained its focus on operational accountability and transparent reporting.

From July to September, SalamAir operated 6,833 flights and carried 962,016 passengers, representing increases of 19.4% and 51.6%, respectively, from the previous quarter.

Year on year, passenger numbers rose 5.1%, while flight volumes increased 9.1%.

The airline said the results highlight its ability to accommodate stronger travel demand during the peak summer season, while punctuality remains a key operational priority as the carrier continues to expand.

Yaqoob Al Kiyumi, Chief Executive Officer of SalamAir, said: “Our passengers’ time matters, and punctuality remains a clear priority. As we build on SalamAir’s achievements, we will work closely with our people and partners across the aviation ecosystem to strengthen operational reliability and deliver a more consistent travel experience, with safety at the forefront of our priorities.” -TradeArabia News Service
