Atmosphere Core has signed its 10th resort in the Maldives, with ONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru An Atmosphere Hotel scheduled to open in March 2027 in Kaafu Atoll.

The property will operate under the Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts brand as its ‘An Atmosphere Hotel’ sub-brand and will be the first resort under the company’s ONE BANYAN co-branded island concept. The concept is designed to give individual properties their own identities while retaining a connection to the wider brand.

The resort will be accessible via a 45-minute speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport and will feature 118 beach and overwater villas, each with a private pool. Accommodation will range from 100-square-metre beach villas to 164-square-metre family beach villas and 117-square-metre overwater villas.

The resort’s design will draw on the surrounding marine environment and traditional Maldivian palm-leaf craftsmanship. Natural materials, locally inspired textures, Art Deco elements and eco-conscious finishes will be combined in a palette of cream and soft green.

Dining facilities will include an all-day restaurant, a main pool bar and three speciality restaurants, including Argentinian and Japanese concepts. Other facilities will include a children’s club, ocean-view gym, dive and watersports centre and retail promenade.

Wellness facilities will be provided by ELE|NA Ayur and will include overwater treatment rooms, a 40-square-metre saltwater pool, sauna and steam facilities.

Technology will be integrated throughout the guest experience, while sustainability measures will include solar energy solutions, water conservation systems and a no-plastics approach supported by in-house glass water bottling.

Founded in 2013, Atmosphere Core currently operates nine resorts in the Maldives across three brands, with two further developments in the pipeline. The company has also expanded internationally, with a heritage hotel operating in India and Italy and more than 20 properties planned across Europe and South Asia. -TradeArabia News Service
