The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and Formula One Management have announced the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar following approval by the World Motor Sport Council. The season will feature 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries and five continents, alongside a record 10 Sprint events.

The 2027 campaign will begin with pre-season testing in Bahrain from 24–27 February, before the championship returns to the Kingdom for the opening race. Saudi Arabia will follow, with the schedule then moving to Australia, Japan and China before the Miami and Canadian Grands Prix.

The European portion of the season will include Formula 1’s return to Portugal in June, following the Monaco Grand Prix. Türkiye will also return to the championship in October, positioned between races in Azerbaijan and Singapore.

The final phase of the season will take the championship to Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo and Las Vegas, before the final two rounds in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

The calendar brings together established circuits and major international destinations while aiming to improve the geographical flow of races. Organisers said the approach supports Formula 1’s continued global expansion while contributing to its longer-term sustainability objectives through more efficient scheduling.

Sprint racing will receive a significant expansion in 2027, increasing from six events in 2026 to 10. Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco and Abu Dhabi will host Sprint events for the first time. Monaco will also feature two qualifying sessions, giving fans additional competitive action on the narrow streets of Monte Carlo.

Sprint events will return to Montréal, Silverstone, Monza, São Paulo and Lusail, adding further opportunities for drivers and teams to compete for points throughout the season.
