The fourth Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit (RGMBS) will bring together leading experts, researchers, innovators, investors and policymakers from around the world to discuss the latest developments in medical biotechnology.

The event aims to strengthen Riyadh’s position as a global hub for medical biotechnology innovation by showcasing the latest technologies and innovations and exploring promising investment opportunities, a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report said.

Sector coordination

It will also foster cooperation among scientific experts, research institutions, and global companies, while highlighting coordination among government sectors.

These efforts aim to support the sector's growth and expand its economic and health impact, in line with the objectives of the National Biotechnology Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.

The show is held under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Biocentral Foundation.

The Minister of National Guard and Board Member of the Riyadh Biocentral Foundation Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz will inaugurate the summit, which will run from September 14 to 16.

Global innovation map

The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs said the Crown Prince’s patronage reflects the leadership’s care and support for the medical biotechnology sector and highlights the summit’s role in strengthening the kingdom’s position on the global innovation map.

The summit will also highlight advances in medical biotechnology research and development within the national ecosystem and open broader avenues for international cooperation and qualitative partnerships.

The RGMBS is organised by the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), and the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), in partnership with the Ministry of Investment.—TradeArabia News Service
