The long-awaited Unified Gulf Tourist Visa is set to be launched soon, allowing international visitors to travel more easily across the six GCC countries, Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi said, according to Saudi Gazette.

The visa will mark an important step towards strengthening Gulf integration, facilitating the movement of visitors among member states and supporting the region’s tourism sector, Albudaiwi said while addressing the Security and History Dialogue 2026 conference in Riyadh on Sunday.

The unified visa is expected to enhance the GCC’s position as a comprehensive regional tourism destination by making it easier for foreign visitors to move between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

Albudaiwi also highlighted the GCC’s growing security coordination, particularly following the recent Iranian attacks on GCC countries. He said a meeting of the GCC interior ministers held in response to the attacks had produced important outcomes that contributed directly to strengthening the security and stability of member states.

He said the six countries were working towards greater security cooperation and integration to address emerging challenges, with coordination, cooperation and the exchange of expertise and capabilities continuing at all levels since the Iranian attacks began on February 28.
