Powered by Her, an energy leadership initiative, launched its Founding Ambassadors programme on September 3, 2026, the third day of Middle East Energy 2026.
Backed by the UAE Ministry of Energy &
Infrastructure (MoEI), the initiative brought together women leaders from
across the energy, finance, legal and technology sectors to discuss ways to
create greater opportunities for the next generation of women in energy.
The Founding
Ambassadors participating in the discussion were Mozah Al Nuaimi, Chief AI
Officer at MoEI; Nawal Al Hanaee, Director of Future Energy at MoEI; Dr. Ahdab
Elmorshedy, President of CIGRE Egypt; Josephine Udonsak, Partner at Dentons;
Helen Aigbe Brume, Director & Global Head of Project & Asset-Based
Finance at African Export-Import Bank; and Dr. Didacienne Mukanyiligira,
Chairperson of the Board at Rwanda Energy Group.
Offering advice to
emerging women leaders in energy, Al Nuaimi said: "The power is ours to
take. If you want to lead something, just go ahead and lead it. If you want to
share a point of view, just say it politely as much as you can. If there is a wall,
just hit it with a hammer. And keep investing in yourself – you are never too
old to learn and move forward."
Powered by Her will
continue throughout the year with roundtables, networking opportunities and
speaking sessions for female energy professionals across dmg events’ energy
portfolio. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
