13 French companies to spotlight power solutions at Middle East Energy 2026

France will showcase its energy technologies at Middle East Energy 2026, taking place from September 1 to 3 at Dubai World Trade Centre, with 13 French companies exhibiting under a dedicated Business France Pavilion.

The delegation will present solutions supporting the Gulf’s evolving power systems, covering grid resilience, smart infrastructure, energy efficiency, critical power and renewable-energy integration.

The participation comes as electricity demand rises across the GCC alongside renewable-energy deployment and digitalisation.

In the UAE, the updated Energy Strategy 2050 envisages AED150 ($41 billion)–200 billion in investment by 2030, creating opportunities in smart grids, energy storage, digital infrastructure and sustainable power systems.

Grid development is increasingly central to the region’s energy transition.

The GCC Interconnection Authority’s planned direct link between Oman and the GCC grid includes about 530 kilometres of 400kV transmission lines, aimed at strengthening regional electricity exchange and system resilience.

In Dubai, DEWA is investing AED7 billion in its Smart Grid Programme through 2035.

The French pavilion will also highlight the growing energy partnership between France and the UAE.

Bilateral trade reached EUR10.8 billion in 2025, up from EUR8.5 billion in 2024, with cooperation spanning energy transition, climate action, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence.

Exhibitors will showcase technologies for grid protection, network monitoring, automation, power distribution and critical energy systems.

Companies including CITEL-2CP, INDELEC, SERGI TRANSFORMER PROTECTOR, CHAUVIN ARNOUX, AOIP, MICHAUD EXPORT, ENERSYS and INFOSEC UPS SYSTEM will present solutions ranging from surge protection and transformer safety to measurement, batteries and uninterruptible power supplies.

The delegation aims to demonstrate how French expertise can support the Gulf’s transition towards more resilient, connected and intelligent energy infrastructure. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
