Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has announced the launch of Staff Welfare Program 2.0, an enhanced edition of the employee support initiative first introduced in 2023.
Reflecting the company’s leading approach to corporate social responsibility and workforce well-being, the expanded framework has been developed in alignment with ISO 26000 guidance on social responsibility, said BAS in a statement.
Staff Welfare Program 2.0 encompasses an extensive portfolio of initiatives that address employees’ evolving needs. Its educational support framework provides scholarships and grants for undergraduate and postgraduate study, helping promising talent pursue further qualifications and prepare for future opportunities.
It also supports the company’s broader ambition to advance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Announcing this, Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BAS, said: "Staff Welfare Program 2.0 represents the next stage in our ongoing commitment to investing in Bahraini talent, whose expertise and dedication underpin BAS’s continued success."
"The positive impact achieved through the initial edition encouraged us to broaden its scope and provide employees with more comprehensive support and continue cultivating a workplace where they can develop and thrive," he stated.
The Staff Welfare Program 2.0 also introduces advanced financial and savings solutions, including direct assistance for humanitarian cases, interest-free loans, and flexible savings plans aimed at easing living expenses. These benefits are complemented by sustainable social and health support initiatives, which include celebrating occasions as well as organizing regular awareness and preventive activities.
Kanoo said the program embodies BAS’s dedication to continuously enriching its work environment in accordance with recognised international practices in employee welfare and corporate sustainability.
The initiative further reinforces the company’s position as an active national contributor supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continued progress and prosperity under its esteemed leadership.-TradeArabia News Service
