Qatar Airways will resume flights to Bahrain, Erbil and Kuwait from Saturday, August 8, restoring key regional links that had been suspended amid the wider regional conflict and disruptions to air travel.

The resumption of services to Bahrain International Airport (BAH), Erbil International Airport (EBL) and Kuwait International Airport (KWI) will restore direct connectivity from Doha to three important Gulf and regional markets. The routes also provide passengers with onward connections through Hamad International Airport, Qatar Airways’ global hub.

The move comes as airlines in the region gradually restore services and adjust their networks following the disruption caused by the US-Iran conflict, which led to temporary suspensions and changes to flight operations across parts of the Middle East.

Qatar Airways is also expanding its long-haul network, reconnecting Doha and Philadelphia with a daily non-stop service between Hamad International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport. The Philadelphia service resumed on August 1 and is the airline’s 14th destination in North America. -TradeArabia News Service
