Saudi Arabia expands road network with 246km Rafha-Hail link

Saudi Arabia has announced the opening of the 246-km Rafha-Hail Road, thus expanding the kingdom's transport network with a new route linking Rafha to Hail through the Hail-Baqaa Road.

A key infrastructure project, it has been designed to strengthen the kingdom's land transport network by improving connectivity between its northern and central regions through a direct link to the Hail-Baqaa Road.

The road represents a vital artery within the kingdom's interregional road connectivity network, reported SPA.

Upon completion, the road corridor will connect directly to the 414-km Hail-Madinah Direct Road. The integrated route will facilitate movement and travel among different regions, it stated.

The road represents a vital artery within the Kingdom's interregional road connectivity network, contributing to serving pilgrims and Umrah performers arriving from the northern regions of Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries through a direct route passing through Madinah before continuing to Makkah.

It will also enhances transportation efficiency and supports logistics movement among the kingdom's regions.
