Kuwait Oil Company awards $7.2bn contracts in H1

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) said it has awarded 129 contracts worth about KD2.2 billion ($7.2 billion) during the first half of 2026 as it stepped up investments to expand oil production capacity, strengthen drilling and exploration activities as well as modernise oilfield infrastructure.

The contracts cover drilling and well maintenance, flowline construction, cementing and testing services, infrastructure projects, technical consultancy, cybersecurity, medical services and operational support, supporting Kuwait's long-term strategy to increase crude production capacity.

Among the largest awards was the integrated Mutriba project valued at 466.6 million dinars, alongside 174.2 million dinars worth of flowline construction and related works.

KOC also awarded a 127.4 million dinar employee health insurance contract and a 118 million dinar contract for Package B of the Wadi Al Ahmadi Research Center project.
