The Makkah Development Authority and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation and support tourism sector development in the Makkah Region.
The agreement aims to improve planning and implementation of
joint projects, including studies to activate and rehabilitate tourism sites,
exchange geospatial data and integrate databases to enhance urban planning and
decision-making.
The MoU also covers workforce development through training
programmes, community and volunteer initiatives, support for the non-profit
tourism sector, and greater media cooperation to promote Makkah’s tourism
potential.
The partnership is expected to enhance integration between
stakeholders and contribute to sustainable tourism growth in the region. -TradeArabia News Service
