H2R has completed the interior renovation of The Meydan Hotel in Dubai, reimagining guestrooms and key public areas.
Commissioned by Dubai Holding, the project focused on
modernising the hotel within an accelerated timeline while improving spatial
quality and operational efficiency.
Guestrooms were fully reconfigured, including rationalised
washroom layouts to increase usable bedroom space.
Lighter flooring,
neutral colour palettes, and simplified finishes were introduced to create a
brighter and more contemporary environment.
The design follows a Nordic and Scandinavian approach,
emphasising simplicity, functionality, and calm.
Consistent material transitions and refined detailing
support a cohesive interior language across the rooms.
Public areas take a more expressive direction, drawing
inspiration from Meydan’s equestrian heritage through sculptural forms, layered
textures, and flowing spatial elements.
A refreshed palette of lighter tones further enhances
openness.
H2R also collaborated with 17A Art to introduce equestrian
artworks, including a central tapestry reflecting the hotel’s racing history.
The renovation involved coordinated demolition and phased
construction, resulting in a modernised hospitality environment aligned with
contemporary guest expectations.
