The 18th edition of the World Future Energy Summit 2026 (WFES 2026), held from January 13–15 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, recorded unprecedented participation, hosting more than 51,200 attendees from 124 countries, including 15 heads of state.

The event featured 515 exhibitors from 57 nations across nine halls, alongside dedicated country pavilions and emerging technology zones.

Commercial outcomes were significant, with over 3,000 buyer meetings facilitating projects valued above $10 billion and an estimated $3 billion in investments.

Co-located conferences, innovation showcases, and policy discussions aligned closely with UAE and regional clean energy ambitions, positioning the Summit as a catalyst for translating global commitments into tangible solutions.

“Across the Middle East, governments are committing to aggressive net-zero targets and renewable strategies that are transforming the energy landscape,” said Shyam Parmar, Event Director, World Future Energy Summit. “This summit is an evolving international platform that aligns with these goals while amplifying regional voices and showcasing innovations. It’s a channel to project the bold ambitions stemming from national strategies, while connecting them with global expertise. This year, our focus was to illuminate how regional net-zero strategies and digital innovation can come together, shaping not only the Middle East’s sustainable future, but also contributing critical insights that accelerate the worldwide energy transition.” -TradeArabia News Service
