The UAE is set to get its largest hot-dip galvanising kettle into production in September, with Galva Hub Metal Coating completing commissioning at its facility in Metal Park located within Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (Kezad) after receiving 825 tonnes of zinc. The facility would allow large steel structures to be galvanised locally.
Sohar Port and Freezone has announced the groundbreaking of its Zinc Recycling Industrial Park located on a 100,000 sq m site within its key development. Once operational, it is expected to produce 100,000 T of refined zinc ingots and 50,000 T of zinc oxide annually for customers across the region.
