The Chedi Hegra introduces Al Majlis, a destination dining and events venue set within Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Housed within a carefully restored traditional mud house and framed by views of the Ithlib mountains, Al Majlis offers an extraordinary setting for private dining, celebrations, weddings, brand activations and bespoke events in one of AlUla’s most storied landscapes.
Drawing on Hegra’s centuries-old tradition as a meeting point for travellers, Al Majlis has been conceived as a natural extension of its surroundings. Original character and traditional architecture are preserved within the restored structure, while outside, sandstone formations and the Ithlib mountains shape the view. As evening falls, firelight illuminates the setting against the sandstone and guests gather beneath open desert skies, creating an atmosphere that feels inseparable from Hegra itself.
Created for experiences that feel personal to both the occasion and the setting, Al Majlis can host intimate gourmet dinners, curated culinary encounters, milestone celebrations, luxury brand launches and private gatherings. Each experience can be tailored to its guests, allowing the landscape, heritage and changing light of Hegra to become part of the occasion rather than simply its backdrop.
