SLB has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the geoscience and petroleum engineering software business portfolio of S&P Global Energy, a provider of subsurface software widely used by US onshore and unconventional operators.

Dana Gas announced a major gas discovery at the North El-Basant 1 well in Egypt’s onshore Nile Delta. Initial results estimate 15–25 bcf of reserves, with production expected to surpass 8 mmscfd once the well is linked to the national gas network.
