bp and Shell have agreed terms for Shell to acquire a 50 per cent stake in the Tupinambá exploration block in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil, in addition to a 30 per cent stake in five leases containing the Conifer exploration prospect in the deepwater Gulf of America Paleogene.
TotalEnergies (48 per cent, operator) has started up the Lapa South-West project in Brazil’s Santos Basin. Three wells tied to the existing Lapa FPSO will boost the field’s production by about 25,000 barrels per day.
Shell Brasil has increased its stakes in Brazil’s pre-salt Atapu and Mero offshore projects in the Santos Basin, acquiring additional equity through a Pré-Sal Petróleo auction, raising its interests to 16.917 per cent in Atapu and 20 per cent in Mero.
